Can I bury a few feet of two 4×4’s in the ground and hang my hammock on it instead of getting or building a big hammock stand? We just moved and have no good trees for the hammock.

I don’t want to shell out 0 for the DIY steel brackets. I intend to use the basic \__/ shaped design made with 4×4’s, but want to make sure the joints are strong enough. Any advice? (preferably advice from woodworkers or people who have done this before)
